Engineer - Taiwan

Job Type: Full-Time Contract

Location: Location: 5th floor, No.2, Yeong Gon 5th Road, Yeong An Dist., Kaohsiung City, Taiwan

Electroninks is quickly expanding and is seeking a full-time Engineer to join our Taiwan Team! The ideal candidate is detail oriented, can build strong relationships, is innovative and a team player.

To be successful in this role, you will have a working knowledge in chemical manufacturing environment, ink chemistry and product development, and have strong communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducting scientific experiments, supporting ongoing research and development projects of current ink products and/or new product development
  • Handling of ink chemistry and samples including preparation and quality control
  • Characterization of materials stability (including temperature, humidity, chemical, and adhesion properties)
  • Implementing and following appropriate QA/QC protocols
  • Sample preparation including coating and casting of thin films via spray coating, inkjet printing, bar coating, blade coating, etc.
  • Maintenance of equipment including spray coater/inkjet printer/screen printer
  • Assisting in developing new test methods and scale up operations
  • Sample prep for characterization and activities with external companies
  • Handling of nanomaterials including silver, copper, and other metallic nanoparticle samples
  • Assist with customer demos and direct customer contact on a daily/weekly basis
  • Participate in weekly team meetings
  • Follow all laboratory safety protocols, clean and maintain work areas working in fume hood and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Qualifications:

  • Education Level: Bachelors in chemical engineeringMechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Proficiency in English, Korean, and Chinese is strongly desired.
  • Experience in wet chemical laboratory or chemical manufacturing environment is required.
  • Previous experience with spray coating, inkjet printing or other coating methods is highly desirable
  • Strong verbal and written communication with organizational and planning skills.
  • Self-motivation, desire to learn new things while working in a team as well as independently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Office 365 products, especially Excel and PowerPoint
