Engineering Internship

Job Type: Paid Internship / Co-op

Starting Date: Summer, Fall, or Spring Semester

Internships may be extended, hours are flexible

Job Description: Electroninks, Inc. has several openings for Engineering Internships. Interns will support our scientific team by preparing conductive ink samples; preparing film samples through various coating techniques; characterizing materials; and maintaining laboratory equipment, organization, and inventory.

Primary Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Handling of ink chemistry and samples including preparation and quality control
  • Characterization of materials stability (including temperature, humidity, chemical, and adhesion properties)
  • Work with materials team on conductive inks formulations, and related synthesis of individual components as well as high viscosity printing methods
  • Assist Process Engineer(s) with designs, support, research and hands-on applications
  • Provide technical support to production, maintenance, environmental, and quality
  • Handling of nanomaterials including silver, copper, and other metallic nanoparticle samples
  • Safe chemical handling, lab up-keep, house-keeping, and general applications laboratory practices

Essential Requirements:

  • Pursuing degree in related field
  • Experience with wet-chemistry methods and practice, wet-bench, solvents, chemical reactions, surface chemistry, and materials processing
  • Ability to work with chemicals in a safe, organized, and neat manner, with attention for details
  • Ability to work in a highly motivated, fast-paced team to develop a range of synthesis, characterization, and processing methods
  • Ability to prepare documents, presentations, write standard operating procedures (SOPs), and produce technical reports
  • Ability to work with teams; excellent written and verbal communication skills is critical

Engineering Tech

Job Description: Electroninks Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our team. Top candidates will have hands-on experience in a wet chemistry laboratory or chemical manufacturing environment, strong communication skills, and a desire to learn. This role requires you to function as support to the engineering team. Duties will include managing documentation, updating reports, and assisting the processes related to our conductive ink formulations and processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

Supporting and helping the engineering team with various printing techniques for thin film formation

Conductive film characterization (thickness and resistance measurement, microscopy, etc.)

Collecting, documenting, and organizing the data and turning them in to a report

Sample labeling and organization

Safe chemical handling, lab up-keep, house-keeping, and general applications laboratory practices

Participate in weekly team meetings

Essential requirements:

Bachelor’s or 2-year degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field

Experience with wet-chemistry methods and practice, wet-bench, solvents, chemical reactions, surface chemistry, and materials processing 

Ability to work with chemicals in a safe, organized, and neat manner, with attention for details

Capability to prioritize and multitask efficiently 

Must maintain appropriate timelines 

Excellent problem-solving skills

Strong organizational and planning skills

Self-motivation and a desire to learn new things 

Ability to work well with a small and diverse team

Experience with Microsoft Office software, especially Excel and PowerPoint

Operations Tech EMI Shielding Team

Starting Date: Review will begin promptly, for position to be filled immediately.

Job Description: Electroninks Inc. is seeking an Operations Technician to join our EMI Shielding team. Top candidates will have hands-on experience in a wet chemistry laboratory or chemical manufacturing environment, strong communication skills, and a desire to learn. Electroninks, Inc. is currently looking for an Operations Tech that would be working with the EMI Shielding Team. This role requires you to function as support to the EMI team. Duties will included managing documentation, updating reports, and assisting the processes related to our conductive ink formulations and processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with samples management, this includes receiving and shipping outbound
  • Participate in weekly team meetings

  • Experience with wet-chemistry methods and practice, wet-bench, solvents, chemical reactions, surface chemistry, and materials processing

Accounting Assistant

Starting Date: Review will begin promptly, for position to be filled immediately.

Description: Our team is quickly expanding, and we are looking for a full-time Accounting Assistant. It is essential that you are innovative, detail oriented, personable, and a team player. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting duties, including but not limited to, accounts receivable, general ledger management, accounting data entry, and accounting team support. 

Primary Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Work with our Accounting Manger on various basic accounting duties including accounts receivable and preparing invoices for review.
  • Assist in preparation of journal entries and review balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Manage payables workflow from invoice receipt to timely payment.
  • Review expense ledgers to ensure payments are made in correct periods.
  • Work with inter-office departments to ensure appropriate approvals and documents are obtained for timely payment.
  • Respond to departmental and external vendor inquiries. 
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing materials to support periodic, quarterly, and annual reporting including external audits.
  • Follow proper accounting methods and policies.
  • Assist with reviewing of expenses, etc. as assigned.
  • Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.
  • Complete a variety of special projects including reviewing vendor statements, general ledger investigation and various administrative duties. 
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. 

Essential Qualifications: 

  • Associates with a major in accounting or 1-2 years of accounting experience or BA in a related field
  • GAAP Experience Required 
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate in a professional manner
  • Capability to prioritize and multitask efficiently
  • Must maintain appropriate timelines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Self-Motivated and a team player
  • Eager to add to their knowledge base and skills
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
  • NetSuite Experience is a plus.
